Pastoral Care at Maybridge

We want to be a church family who love, encourage and care for one another well. Sometimes circumstances in life mean we need extra support, so there are teams and trusted people at Maybridge available to give support to those who need it.

SUPPORT & ENCOURAGEMENT

For most people, our groups and community initiatives are the best context to find support – people who see you regularly, know you well and can sustain you prayerfully and practically as members encourage each other to walk with Jesus throughout the joys and trials of faith and life. However, there are times when we need support beyond what a groups and the church community can provide.

If you are struggling in any area of life – whether that’s physical health, mental health, tricky relationships, financial strain or something else entirely – we’d love to help in whatever way we can. You can also get in touch with our church elders about pastoral concerns at elders@maybridge.org.uk.

HERE FOR YOU

Visiting & Immediate Care

Alongside our team of Elders, there are church members who can visit and help to support those with unexpected care or health needs, support those who have lost a loved one and/or meet with those who are unable to get to church.

Prayer, Support & Encouragement

There are people who can walk with you through a particular problem or decision, area of struggle, or pain of suffering by talking, encouraging, praying and reading scripture together.

Life Events

If you’ve got a significant life event coming up – preparing for marriage, need marital advice, thinking about baptism or child dedication, you can get in touch about courses, practical help, support and prayer.

Meals

There is a team of people who organise and rally the church family to provide meals for anyone who could do with the pressure to cook being removed, for a short time or longer period.
