Bags of Hope Cafe
Our Bags of Hope project is one of the ways we’re here for the community and those facing holiday hunger by providing a bag of ingredients for a healthy meal for the whole family and a space for people to come and find support.
Bags of Hope has a catchment area, providing support for those from our local community from the Durrington and Goring areas. Those from further afield are welcome to come and enjoy the free café and food store top-ups.
For the local community
On Thursdays in the school holidays our café is open between 10am and 12:30pm with free tea, coffee and cake – and plenty of people to chat with. Those from the local community are welcome to enjoy the café and there’s usually tables of food and household items free for you to take as you need. In order for us to continue supporting those in our local area, our Bags of Hope meal bags are only available to those in the Goring and Durrington areas local to the church.

Get involved
Bags of Hope is one way our church tries to support our local community and we welcome you to be a part of this. You can do so in two ways:
If you are in a position to give, we collect food donations for our Bags of Hope café at the entrance to our church building on The Strand. We’re open Sunday to Monday and we’d be really happy to receive your donation – in the words of a famous brand every little really does help.
