Volunteering
We want to be a church where everyone can get stuck in, and one of the ways that this happens is through volunteering. Church is like a family and everyone has a part to play to make things work, whether thatās playing in a worship band, helping with kids or bringing your DIY skills at the weekend.
Sundays
A lot of people get involved to make a Sunday service happen!
Our hosting team are the first friendly faces people see when they come to our services, welcoming the congregation and making newcomers feel at home.
Our gifted singers, musicians and AV and PA technicians come together to help us worship and connect with God, and our prayer ministry volunteers are always on hand if you would like someone to pray with you during or after the service.
Plus there are brilliant people behind the scenes setting it all up and making it happen, and our amazing children and youth leaders have fun with our children and young people, teaching and building them up and helping them to encounter Jesus for themselves.
If any of that sounds like something you’d like to get involved with, get in touch.Ā
Community
Church is so much more than a Sunday, which means there are plenty of ways to serve throughout the week!
We have groups for new mums, seniors, young people and children of all ages – and our Boxes of Hope project involves countless people behind the scenes to put together and deliver boxes of food to local families facing holiday hunger.
We partner with churches across Worthing to create a culture of safety, integration and justice for refugees and displaced people through Worthing 4 Refugees, and our Home4Good group supports, champions and prays for families who foster and adopt.
And as the world rebuilds in the wake of covid-19, we’re looking at new ways to supporting our church family and local community in their day-to-day lives. If that’s exciting to you and you’d like to get stuck in, get in touch.Ā
