CAROLS AT MAYBRIDGE

THE PERFORMANCES

Maybridge Carols are happening on Sunday the 15th December at 77 The Strand with two performances at 4pm and 6.30pm. Each will last around an hour.

On the day: Please arrive for 1:15pm with clothes to wear for the performances and a packed tea for between services. Refreshments and treats will be provided throughout the day (please let us know any dietary requirements).
We will have sound checks and a run-through of the service. Please be patient and prepared for some hanging around in the gaps. It is important to remain quiet during sound checks to help the team make everything sound great on the day!
Bring energy and fun and lots of smiles!

Clothing

For the performance, please wear blue jeans and a bold, single-coloured top.Β

Important information

To help us be welcoming to guests and newcomers, the car park will be closed to performance members and volunteers – so we can leave the church car park clear for newcomers and those with mobility issues.Β Please share lifts, walk, cycle, or whatever you can to keep the surrounding area clear to welcome visitors over our events. Please DO NOT park in Cavendish Close.Β We’re working on making the Keystone Centre (12 spaces) available for performance members, but will confirm when we know more.

To keep us safe, and to comply with fire safety regulations, we must limit the amount of people at our events and services. We’re asking everyone to book their guests and family in online. Priority entry will be given to those who have signed up and those bringing guests. If you are part of the choir, band or tech team, you don’t need to sign up as we’ll include you in our numbers – but make sure you sign up your guests at maybridge.org.uk/christmas.

Music & Lyrics

All the music and lyrics you’ll need to get stuck in with our Christmas choir will be available at rehearsals. You can grab what you need at the first week. Please keep your copies for each week and bring them with you. You may wish to bring a pencil to make your own notes.

Folders will be provided on the day of the performance.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held at Maybridge Community Church, 77 The Strand, every Monday, from 7.30-9pm. Here are the dates for your diaries:

Monday 30 October, Monday 6 November, Monday 13 November, Monday 20 November, Monday 27 November and Monday 4 December.

Please sign in on arrival, and arrive a little before 7.30pm so we can start on time. The last rehearsal is particularly important as it will be with our tech team and musicians. You may wish to bring some water and a pencil to take notes.
