On Christmas Day and Sunday 28th December instead of our usual services there will be just one starting at 10am

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is hugely important to us as a church.
At Maybridge, we want everyone to be valued, safe & cared for…

What is Safeguarding?

At its heart, safeguarding simply means protecting people from harm and is primarily the proactive measures and policies put in place to protect everyone, particularly vulnerable children and adults, from harm, abuse, or neglect.

We want all our activities, groups and services to be spaces where everyone feels secure, valued, and included. At Maybridge, we operate safeguarding policies and procedures that cover children, young people and adults with care and we’re committed to ensuring that the principles of safeguarding vulnerable people are upheld. Our policies give more information and guidelines on safeguarding at Maybridge and are available below…

Safeguarding at Maybridge

We have a team responsible for Safeguarding across all our Sunday and midweek activities. The Designated Safeguarding Lead is responsible for overseeing safeguarding at Maybridge alongside their team.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and so we expect all who attend Maybridge Community Church, especially staff, elders, trustees and everyone who serves working with children, young people, or adults with care and support needs, to do their part to keep everyone safe and cared for in a way which upholds the dignity and value of the individual.

If you are worried about the safety or welfare of a child or adult, or if someone tells you something that concerns you, please contact the Safeguarding Team at
