Volunteering

Volunteering can be very rewarding as well as a great help for those you are serving. At Maybridge Community Church there are opportunities to volunteer out in the community and within church activities.  Here is a taste of some of the ways you could volunteer:

In the community

  • Befriending or practical help
  • Community café
  • Take-a-break parent and toddler group
  • Mind Body Soul – lunch for older people

In the church

  • Setting up for church services
  • Serving refreshments
  • Technical support
  • Welcoming people
  • Teaching or helping our children and youth either on a Sunday or our mid-week provision
  • Occasional help for one-off events
  • Using a specific skill or expertise such as finance or building maintenance etc.

For a current list of volunteering opportunities and to find out how you can play a part in the life and work of Maybridge Community Church, talk to Gay Jacklin who leads on all things volunteering! We'd love to hear from you. Get in touch by clicking here.

Please note that as a Christian church we welcome volunteers from all walks of life, including those with other beliefs or none, who are able to operate within our volunteering values and accept our Christian faith. Our usual policy is to place these volunteers within teams, working alongside Christian volunteers (not lone volunteering).
