Maybridge offers a dynamic range of activities for young people aged 11-19 through its two youth groups, Shift (for those in school years 7-9) and Amplify (year 10 and above). There are four key areas of our youth work, that we'd love to invite you to come and take a look at!
Connect: - We want to be a group that makes time to connect with our friends and our world, and so we create regular space in our term for opportunities to invite friends to hang out with us, low key high action, or for space for us to connect with our world, through action projects.
Belong: - We don't though just want to be a group full of socials, we want to create space for people to be part of our family! So we have regular youth work nights, shaped around the values of the church, that create space to engage with one another on a weekly basis.
Encounter: - At our core, though, is a belief that God not only exists, but loves us and wants us to know Him! So we want to offer people the chance to encounter Him for themselves! Whilst we know that can happen at anytime, anywhere, we also want to make space where that is our primary focus, and so we offer two residential experiences a year, as well as taking an active role in church life.
Grow: - Finally, we want to be a place where people grow to know and love God more and more each day, and so we have weekly smaller group get togethers to pray, learn and grow together.
Here are some highlights from the last term in our youth work.
